It’s better known as “Green Mountain State” for a natural elevation of ground within its limits. The capital in Montpelier and other main cities are Burlington, Hutland and Barre.
It has a warm and extreme weather, with plenty of snow on the montaneous part and generally in the whole state. These conditions make it perfect for the practice of winter sport activities.
Lakes and mountains for climbing, with a wide variety of challenge levels offer this state to its visitors as main attractions.
Additionally, to that, there are historical and architectonical treasure and 114 covered bridges, the best in the nation (something very rave in the whole U.S). Vermont’s paths are ranked among the best of the world for practicing mountain bike.
Some remarkable places to visit are the Apalache Pathway, Ben and Jerry’s Factory Tour, The Dakin Farm, Vermont’s lighthouses, etc.
Many events throughout the state welcome groups of all sizes, if you’re looking for that one event that will leave you speechless, you need to see the “Celebration of Peonies at Hildene, The Lincoln Family Home. ” with thousands of bloom filling the gardens.
