The state of Hawaii is composed by a group of islands at the Pacific Ocean, forming a chain of underwater volcanoes. Two of these volcanoes are Mauna Loa and Kilauea, both of them actives ones.
The nickname for Hawaii state is ʺAloha Stateʺ. The capital of Hawaii is Honolulú. Other important cities are Hilo, Kailua, Kaneohe and Pearl city. The weather in Hawaii is considered almost perfect, without extreme changes.
There are only two seasons summer (from May to October) and winter (from November and April). It rains very much at the mountains and valleys. This phenomenon create a fine tropical environment of flowers and the freshress that has made Hawaii famous.
Huge areas of land are reserved for animal breeding and crops of sugar cane pineapples, Macademia, nuts. Nevertheless it has developed a rich industry of food, stone, glass and ceramic. But, the most important industry is tourism.
Hawaii´s beaches are perfect for surfing and swimming. The biggest Hawaiian cultural festival is the festivals of Aloha, which spans across most of the islands and over multiple dates in September and October.
